Kentico CMS sends automatic system e-mails for various purposes, such as for example workflow notification. The content of these e-mails is determined by templates according to the type of a given e-mail. Editing these templates allows you to alter the e-mails sent by the system to match a certain design and/or language.
There are two types of e-mail templates: global and site-specific. If a site-specific template of a certain type is not defined, the respective global template is used by the site instead.
When accessing this page in Site Manager, you can see a list of all available e-mail templates depending on the selection made in the Site drop-down list. In CMS Desk, only the templates of the current site may be accessed.
New e-mail templates can be created by using the New template link. You can manage the items in the list using the appropriate icon on the left side - edit (), delete () and export (). After clicking the icon in the header of the Actions column, a context menu is displayed, offering options for export of listed data to various types of files.
If there is a large amount of displayed templates, you can filter them by their name using the filter above the list.
More resources can be found at Developer's Guide -> Development -> E-mail templates.
