Here you can choose which contacts will be merged. In Kentico CMS, merging allows you to create parent objects, i.e. parent contacts, which cover child objects, i.e. contacts merged into the parent contact. This can be useful if there is one user associated with several different contacts.

 

You may need to view and merge only contacts matching certain search criteria (e.g. first name, last name, e-mail etc.). To do so, choose either the simplified or advanced filter, enter the required values and click Search. A list of matching contacts is displayed.

 

To merge all displayed contacts into the currently edited one click the Merge all button. Or select only some of the contacts and click the Merge selected button. In any event, the Merge collisions dialog window will be opened enabling you to set further parameters of the merge process.
